	I love to make baby quilts for friends and family, and occasionally for commissions. It is also a good format for trying out different techniques, colour combinations, and interesting blocks. Whether the quilt will be handed down from child to child, or loved to bits, it is a special gift to welcome a new baby with something hand-made with love and care.

click to enlarge	Detail click to enlarge	Pre-Dawn Meditation Machine pieced and hand-quilted hand-dyed cotton lawn with wool batting W: 750mm H: 850mm I dyed these fabrics to make a colour gradation in opposite directions. As I sewed it, I listened to Jonathon Besser's music and thought it looked like a dawn sky, lightening from the bottom but with cool stars still shining at the zenith. click to enlarge	Detail click to enlarge	Sunshine After Storm Machine-pieced and hand-quilted hand-dyed cotton lawn with wool batting W: 700mm H: 910mm Indigo is a lovely colour in every shade from dark to softest blue. I used my hand-dyed cotton with golden yellow for contrast. It made me think of sunlight breaking through the clouds. The quilting patterns are clouds, rain and mountains NZ$200.00
